This September, the Snapdragon Book Foundation is proud to feature Owen Middle School in Swannanoa, NC as our Next Up school.
When Hurricane Helene devastated western North Carolina, many of Owen Middle’s students lost homes, belongings, and loved ones. Their school library, too, suffered damage, with many books destroyed or lost in the storm.
The Hope After Helene project will replace those lost books and bring in new, diverse, and high-interest titles to help students heal, learn, and find joy in reading again.
Throughout September, 100% of all donations to Snapdragon will go directly to Owen Middle School’s library. Our goal is $2,500 to fully fund their project.
📚 Will you help these students rebuild hope through books?
